David McDowell, Founder & Co-CEO

David founded Altum Consulting in 2013, building on twenty years’ experience as a specialist recruiter in London, the regions and internationally. He’s spent the last twelve years at board level, in both corporate environments and, more recently, driving growth in an entrepreneurial fast-track business. A hands-on director with client relationships and contacts across a wide range of SMEs and blue-chip organisations, David is well placed to lead Altum Group towards its ambition of becoming a globally-respected consultancy group.

Edward Nash Steer, Founder & Co-CEO

Edward began his recruitment journey over fifteen years ago. He has built considerable experience in executive search and interim management, with a focus on delivering domestic and international searches for leading technology, retail, consumer goods and leisure organisations. Edward has an extensive International network and a successful track record of partnering clients globally. Edward ensures Altum Group works in a collaborative and high performing way to achieve its ambitious goals.

Melanie Clark, Managing Director, Azura Search

Melanie's spent 12 years building an extensive network of CEOs, CFOs and other transformational finance leaders. As Managing Director, she leads Azura Search working on assignments in London, the UK and internationally; predominantly in TMT, Property and Retail. Previously Melanie was Business Director at a FTSE 250 plc.

Patrick Glydon, Chairman

Patrick has over twenty-five years’ experience in leadership roles with international companies such as Diageo, Le Meridian, Hilton, Clear Channel and Dentsu Aegis Network. At Denstu Aegis Network he successfully led the sale of Synovate for £525m, headed significant strategic and business transformation programmes, and delivered more than thirty acquisitions.

Patrick is currently CFO of Clifford Chance. He has lived and worked in New York, Los Angeles, Singapore and Paris, as well as visiting more than fifty countries professionally.

Richard Wright, Non-Executive Director

Richard established his reputation at mid-market professional recruitment consultancy Martin Ward Anderson. He took the company from £1m revenues in 1995 to £40m revenues in 2006, when he successfully led the sale of the business to Randstad.

Richard has since held several instrumental executive and non-executive roles, including CEO of Archer Mathieson, where he executed a rapid turnaround culminating in a merger which created the BIE Group. Richard is currently chief executive at Acre, the market-leader in sustainability and safety recruitment.
