The vision to do something different

When we created the Altum Group we had the vision to do something different, to create recruitment businesses with soul. It was about more than just building our brands - we wanted to widen the pathway for who succeeds in today’s organisations and create opportunities for all. And we wanted our people to be part of that vision.

Altum Group exists to give people the power to fulfil their promise so to really put our philosophy at the heart of the business we established our own foundation at the start of 2018.

We now support three charities via The Altum Foundation: Street Child, Resurgo Trust and the Evelina Children’s Hospital in London. We love these charities, particularly as they all focus on supporting the next generation and creating opportunity.

All staff are members and we give them tangible experiences to connect with our charitable partners. Last year we all cycled 470km from our Amsterdam office to our London headquarters, and this year we’re running the Sierra Leone marathon for Street Child. These experiences push us out of our comfort zone, connect us as a team and build deeper relationships. It promotes our collaborative approach and supports how we work with our clients.

Giving people the power to fulfill their promise is more than a catch phrase to us. Resurgo runs an award-winning programme called ‘Spear’ which helps under-served young people into work or education. It’s got great alignment with our skills as recruiters and we give the trainees a window into the corporate world.  We hired Aliya, our team administrator after she completed the Spear programme from Resurgo Trust.

David is known for is his pragmatic and intelligent advice as well as his thorough search capability and extensive network.  David supports global businesses specialising in sectors such as Media, Leisure, Hospitality and Sport.
