Altum Group Named One of the UK's Best Places to Work

Recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 — Small Organisation Category

Altum Group, consisting of Altum Consulting, Azura, Potentia Networking and the Altum Foundation, is proud to announce that it has been named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, in the Small Organisation category. This prestigious national recognition, one of the most respected employer accolades in the UK, reflects our unwavering commitment to putting our people first and building a culture where everyone can thrive.

About the Award

The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, powered by WorkL, is the UK's biggest and most rigorous survey of employee engagement. Published annually in The Sunday Times, it honours organisations across all industries and sizes, spotlighting those that go above and beyond to create workplaces where people feel valued, supported and empowered. Organisations are categorised by size, with the Small Organisation category recognising employers with between 10 and 49 employees.

Decided Entirely by Our People

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is how it is determined. There are no judges, no written submissions, no external assessment panels. The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list is decided entirely through an independent employee engagement survey, developed by WorkL's team of behavioural scientists, psychologists, data analysts and business leaders.

Our colleagues were invited to complete a confidential survey covering 26 questions across six key areas of workplace experience:

–  Reward and Recognition — feeling fairly rewarded for the work we do

–  Instilling Pride — being proud to work here and believing in what we do

–  Information Sharing — feeling informed, included and in the loop

–  Empowerment — having the autonomy and trust to do our jobs well

–  Wellbeing — feeling supported in our health, balance and happiness

–  Job Satisfaction — finding meaning and fulfilment in our roles

To be included on the list, organisations must achieve a minimum employee response rate and score above 70% across these engagement areas. Our place on the list is therefore a direct reflection of how our own team feels about working here, and that makes it all the more special.

“This award belongs entirely to our team. Everything we have built at Altum Group, the culture, the trust, the sense of belonging, has come from the people who show up every day and give their best. Being named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work tells us that what we are building together is working, and it motivates us to keep raising the bar. We are a people-first organisation, and we always will be.”

— David McDowell, CEO, Altum Group
